6. Custom collections

Create collections to quickly filter your library.
Unlike folders on your computer, adding a reference to a collection does not relocate the reference, but rather acts as a label.
This means that the same reference can be added to multiple collections. If you delete a collection, the references it contains will still be available in 'All References'.
Custom collections

  1. Create a new collection - Use the menu at the top of the main reference list to manage collections in the currently selected collection.
  2. Add a reference to a collection - Use the menu at the top of the reference detail view to move the citation into a collection.

Use private groups to collaborate and share references and ideas with other researchers.
You must be invited to these groups to be allowed to share PDFs and collaborate using shared annotations. Group management is only available from the Mendeley interface.
As with custom collections, use the menu at the top of the main reference list to manage collections in a group.

You can also share a PDF with colleagues using the Share menu at the top of the reference view.

9. Sync

Your library automatically syncs with Mendeley so you can access your research wherever you go.
Vertically swipe the main reference list to sync Paperbot and Mendeley.
Your data will be stored securely on Mendeley servers so you can access it on any device.
Notes and annotations made in private groups will also be available to colleagues.
Paperbot requires an active subscription to sync your data with Mendeley.
Paperbot is developped by a small, independant team of engineers, not affiliated to Mendeley™.
After the free trial period, we offer full access to Paperbot at a fair price to get useful new features and help for your research library.
The free trial period is the best way to know if Paperbot is right for you, and hopefully to subscribe and keep its developments going.
